How to set my trusted address?

This critical security procedure guides you on how to whitelist external wallet addresses. Once activated, withdrawals can only be sent to these pre-approved destinations, significantly enhancing the security of your funds.

Step-by-Step: Setting a Trusted Withdrawal Address (Whitelisting)

Prerequisites

  • You must have the correct external withdrawal address for the specific cryptocurrency and network.

  • You must have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled and active on your Solcex account.

1

Accessing Address Management

  • Login to Solcex: Log in to your Solcex account via the official website or mobile application.

  • Access Account Profile: Click on your Account Profile icon

  • Navigate to Security: Select "Account Safety" from the menu.

  • Locate Management Tool: Scroll down the safety page until you find the "Address Management" menu and click "Manage" next to it.

2

Adding the New Trusted Address

  • Initiate Addition: Click the "Add Withdrawal Address" button.

  • Input Address Details: Carefully fill in the required fields:

  • Address Note: Assign a descriptive nickname (e.g., "My Solcex Wallet") for easy identification.

  • Coin: Select the specific Cryptocurrency (e.g., BTC, ETH, SOL, SOLCEX) this address is for.

  • Select Network: Choose the corresponding Blockchain Network (e.g., BTC, ERC-20, TRC-20, SOL). This selection must be exact.

  • Withdrawal Address: Paste the external wallet address you are whitelisting.

3

Security Verification and Finalization

  • Security Verification: Before the address is saved, the platform will require a strict security check:

    • 2FA Code: You must enter the current 6-digit code from your Google Authenticator app.

    • (The platform also require an Email/SMS verification code.)

  • Confirm and Save: Enter the required codes and click "Confirm" to finalize the whitelisting of the new address.

Whitelisting Security:

Once this setting is active, any attempt to withdraw funds to an unlisted address will be blocked, making it extremely difficult for an attacker to steal your assets, even if they gain access to your account.
