How to trade on Spot (Limit, Market, and stop Limit)?

This procedure guides you through accessing the Solcex Spot trading interface and placing the three primary order types.

Step-by-Step: Executing Trades in the Spot Market (Limit, Market, Stop-Limit)

Prerequisites

  • You must have sufficient funds in your Spot Account.

  • You must be logged into your Solcex account.

Accessing the Spot Trading Interface

  • Login to Solcex: Log in to your Solcex account via the official website.

  • Navigate to Trade: Click on the "Trade" option located at the top menu bar.

  • Select Trading Pair: Select the specific currency pair (e.g., BTC/USDT, ETH/BTC, SOL/USDT) that you wish to trade from the list of available assets.

Selecting and Placing an Order

  • Locate Order Panel: Scroll down the trading page to find the Order Panel, where you can select the trade type and enter your parameters.

  • Select Trade Type: Choose one of the following order types based on your trading strategy:

A. Limit Order

  • Purpose: To buy and sell at a specific, desired price.

  • Procedure: Select "Limit." Enter the Price at which you want the order to execute, and enter the Amount of cryptocurrency you wish to buy or sell.

B. Market Order

  • Purpose: To buy or sell immediately at the current best available market price.

  • Procedure: Select "Market." Simply enter the Amount you wish to buy or sell (the price field is disabled as it executes instantly).

C. Stop-Limit Order

  • Purpose: To place a Limit Order when the market reaches a specific Stop Price.

  • Procedure: Select "Stop-Limit."

    • Enter the Stop Price (the trigger price).

    • Enter the Limit Price (the price at which your order will be placed once the Stop Price is hit).

    • Enter the Amount you wish to buy or sell.

Executing the Trade

  • Execute Order: Once all parameters are entered, click the "Buy" or "Sell" button to submit your order to the market.

  • Order Confirmation: For Limit and Stop-Limit orders, the order will appear in the Open Orders section until the conditions are met. Market orders execute instantly
